Custom Terrazzo
Maintenance & Durability
Supports Heavy Foot Traffic — Terrazzo is commonly used in facilities that experience heavy foot traffic such as airports, office buildings, hotels, and convention centers. Terrazzo will not form wear patterns from heavy foot traffic unlike soft flooring products and other flooring materials.
No Grout Joints Required — Terrazzo flooring systems are seamless with little concerns regarding grout discoloration, maintenance, or cracking.
Provides Permanent Adhesion — Terrazzo is poured on site, bonding directly to the substrate, which offers incredible compression and tensile strength properties.
Limitless Design Options
Customize every aspect of cementitious Terrrazzo from color to the type and quantity of aggregate, to the size of the aggregate.
Create custom patterns using divider strips and different colors of Terrazzo. Inlay logos and designs

The Installation Process
First, the surface needs to be prepped. Fresh concrete generally requires minimal prep work. For existing concrete floors any pre-existing cracks, holes, chips, and sunken areas often require repair before installing Terrazzo.
Once the surface is prepped, we’re able to mix the Terrazzo base, any coloring, and aggregates. Once mixed the Terrazzo is ready to be poured in place. For certain smaller applications we’re able to pour offsite and then install the finished Terrazzo.
After the Terrazzo has curred, we then come in with our grinders to smooth the surface and expose the aggregate.
Once the Terrazzo is perfectly smooth, we will seal it and polish it to the desired finish.
Any hard, non-decaying material can be used. Common options include glass, marble, granite, or even unique items like bolts, shells, or dice.
Ideally, we prefer to install Terrazzo on top of concrete, but we can install on a verity of subfloors.
In addition to floors, walls, and countertops, we are able to cast Terrazzo using custom forms similarly to what can be cast with concrete. That being said, the finishing process for Terrazzo requires the surface to be ground down to expose the aggregate which can make intricate shapes and tight corners more difficult. If you have a distinctive idea, please reach out — we’re eager to explore the creative possibilities Terrazzo can bring to your project!
All of our countertops are polished and sealed to help prevent stains. Food, acids, and oil will not stain your countertop if wiped up immediately, but if left on for a longer period of time, could cause light spotting. That being said, concrete and Terrazzo are still a naturally porous materials which if not properly maintained may become more susceptible to stains over time.
