Process
Early engagement is ideal, though we can join at any project phase. Starting early enables us to assist with installation details, project planning, and meeting any target dates.
For flooring projects we’d ideally like to have the square footage, photos or a description of the current conditions, and any ideas of the new flooring you’d like to have installed. If you’re unsure on any of the above information, that’s no problem, we’re happy to work with you to figure out any details and provide a tailored flooring solution to reach your goals.
For custom fabrication projects we can work with anything from an initial idea, to sketches, to fully fleshed out spec drawings. We’re happy to assist in any phase of the process from design to fabrication to installation.
- Design – We offer support at any design or planning stage.
- Estimating – Send us drawings, sketches, or images, and we’ll provide an estimate.
- Material Rendering – We’ll create a rendering, whether it’s a Terrazzo base color, concrete texture, or epoxy finish.
- Custom Sample – For most projects, we’ll provide a sample of the final material finish.
- Surface Preparation – Our trained crew is equipped for various surface preparations.
- Fabrication – After design specifications are confirmed, we fabricate custom forms, either in-shop or on-site, depending on the project.
- Installation – Flooring projects generally take one to several days, depending on the product and size. For non-flooring installations, requirements vary by project; we’ll coordinate with you to ensure all preparations.

In addition to floors, walls, and countertops, we are able to cast Terrazzo using custom forms similarly to what can be cast with concrete. That being said, the finishing process for Terrazzo requires the surface to be ground down to expose the aggregate which can make intricate shapes and tight corners more difficult. If you have a distinctive idea, please reach out — we’re eager to explore the creative possibilities Terrazzo can bring to your project!
For most non flooring projects, Terrazzo and concrete pieces are pre-fabricated at our shop and then installed.
All of our countertops are polished and sealed to help prevent stains. Food, acids, and oil will not stain your countertop if wiped up immediately, but if left on for a longer period of time, could cause light spotting. That being said, concrete and Terrazzo are still a naturally porous materials which if not properly maintained may become more susceptible to stains over time.
